Rosslyn Park National School's 7's

For the last few year's Llangatwg school has participated in the National school's 7-a-side rugby tournament which is held on Wimbledon common in south London. Previously only the year 8's have made the trip to London but in 2009 we are looking to take both year 8 & year 11 pupils. The tournament is very popular and even has teams competing from countries as for away as Russia and Romania. Pupil's travel to London on the sunday afternoon and enjoy a night's accommodation in a hotel in London, then on the monday morning we make our way to the ground where the tournament is held. All matches are played in one location where there are excellent facilities, after a hard day playing 7's rugby pupil's then have an hour to wander around the various tents where they can purchase sports goods or just grab something to eat before the journey home on the monday evening.

Please could all parent be aware that it is essential that your child takes as much of the kit specified below:

• Plenty of underwear.
• 2 sweatshirts.
• 2 tracksuits.
• 2 rugby tops .
• 2 pairs rugby shorts.
• 2 towels.
• waterproof's.
• 2 pairs of trainners.
• Warm coat.
• Evening wear (depending on results an extra night may be needed).
• Any medication your child needs.
