HEALTH AND SAFETY ARRANGEMENTS FOR
PUPILS, STAFF AND SCHOOL PREMISES |
The wellbeing of Llangatwg pupils is of the utmost
importance. The school has a Health, Safety and Security policy
which is in line with the National and Local Authority Policy.
There is a Pupil Welfare and Support Officer on site who provides
for the medical needs of both pupils and staff. Other key staff are
trained First Aiders.
Llangatwg School also has a CCTV system within its grounds and
security fencing has been erected around the perimeters.
All visitors to the school must report to the school office on
arrival to sign in. The premises are monitored throughout the day,
with teaching staff also supervising the premises at both break and
lunch times.
Traffic through the school is speed limited and pupils are
restricted from entering the car park areas. In addition, all staff
driving the school minibus are suitably qualified.
