Year 9
The Industrial Age (1760-1914)
Key Questions - What changes took place in Wales, Britain and the wider world at this time, and how did people react to them?

The Twentieth Century
Key Question - How did important individuals and events shape our world?

Year 10 & 11
We teach the WJEC GCSE in History. The topics are:

Health and Medicine since 1345
Wars of the 20th century. This is our coursework element. The assignments are currently based on World War Two.
Sport Leisure and Tourism since 1900
Germany 1929-47
We study the rich and exciting tapestry that is the past not only to learn more knowledge, but also to help our pupils build transferable skills that they can take forward to other contexts, especially the workplace. History lessons are interesting and varied, with pupils encouraged to show independence of learning. Pupils regularly use ICT and are given help to improve their written skills through learning about the past.
